This is the alphabet blocks I bought for the little man the other day from the store. At 23 months old, he can now say the alphabet (except for W) real good. Whenever he sees big letters he says what it is with pride and I am proud of him. These blocks are for kids 3 years and up yet he is already using them. When he wakes up in the morning and mama isn’t ready to get up yet, he stays in his bed and recites the alphabet which makes his father proud that he tells friends about his son’s achievement.

mimic
I was already in bed last night but the husband was still watching the news. Now, it is an unwritten rule in our house that everybody goes to bed before ten even the adults. I have been waiting for a while and still no sign of him so started calling for his name which made him come to our room and told me he will be in bed after watching the news. He then went back to the living room.
I didn’t know the little man was still up so I was surprised when he got up from his bed (he sleeps in his crib in our room) and started yelling Pau! Pau! (for Paul). It took me a while to realize he was calling his father’s name. He was yelling so loud to get his attention and I couldn’t help but laugh so hard. He sounded like he meant business too. Our little man is so funny. I realized last night that i have to watch the words I use in front of him because he is starting to mimic every word he hears.
Mama!
The little man seldom calls for mama. It is always Dada, Dadi, Daddy. I taught him of course and the husband calls me mama so his son will follow. But it seems like it is easier to call his father because just one word and the latter runs to his son’s side asking what is wrong. No, he is not a first time father, he is just like that with his kids.
One morning though, I was still in bed sleeping when the little man woke me up. Or tried to. Of course mama didn’t listen. She was still so sleepy. After about thirty minutes of trying to wake me up he started saying Mama over and over and pulled the cover off me. I let it went on for a while savoring the moment
Now, I am not a bad mother but when you seldom hear your son calling for you, I am sure you understand.
I got up with a big smile on my face. What a good thing to start my day. I knew with a little push he eventually will call for me and I was right. Mission accomplished!
hi!
This is my 23 months old son’s greeting when he wakes up in the morning. Instead of the usual good morning he made up his own morning greetings. And it is accompanied with a wave of his little hand too. Even when he is playing and he thinks he is being neglected he comes to wherever we are and says hi in that cute little way of his. The husband loves it. He said it is so cute to hear his son say the word.
And when he goes to bed at night he says nigh’, nigh’. I heard him practicing the words for a few nights and when he was good and ready he said nigh’-nigh’ to mama and dada. It was so cute.
The other night we were on our room when he let out a loud fart. He then looked at me and said, uh-oh! It was so funny I laughed so hard. He acted like he didn’t mean to do it but he couldn’t keep it any longer
Yes, there are things he does that makes me angry and sometimes lose my cool but most of the time he is such an angel.
sick
This mother got so sick yesterday it was awful. I had to call the husband to come home from work because I knew I couldn’t take care of a toddler while sick. Thankfully he came right away. We tried to figure out what it was that made me sick. We came up with two options, either I got a stomach bug or I am pregnant again. It was because I throw up several times yesterday afternoon and the headache was outrageous. I was like this when I was pregnant with my first born. We won’t know for sure until two weeks because I am not buying a pregnancy test kit
Perhaps this is just a case of bad food I ate. Whatever it is I am glad I feel a lot better this morning. There is still a trace of headache but it isn’t as bad as yesterday. I hope I am okay health wise. If I am indeed pregnant it will be a cause for celebration because the husband wants another baby in the house.
